Himalaya Guides Cho-oyu Norwegian skiing expedition  autumn 2009  team are back to Kathmandu on 2nd Oct 2009  safly with a real summit of Mt Cho-oyu 8201m. well done!

Himalaya Guides Cho-oyu Norwegian skiing expedition  autumn 2009:

Tor Arne Steinar and reached the summit yesterday morning. Henry had to unfortunately cancel the state experiment. (UPDATED 29.09.2009 14:18:05)     I spoke with a tired Tor Arne on the phone from ABC today. He could tell that both he and Steinar reached the summit yesterday morning local time. A snow blindness Henry had no other choice but to remain at Camp 2 All three are now gathered in the ABC to rest, and the sight of Henry is on his way back. They come now to relax a few days in the ABC before they go further down to BC. A more complete update coming. Even

Himalaya Guides Cho-oyu Norwegian skiing expedition autumn 2009 report from the summits of Mt Cho-oyu.  Ms. Therese Sjursen Norwegian & Climbing Sherpa Pasang Bhote Nepali summited on 24th Sep 2009 at 06:30 local time.

Rest-of the teams are planning to summit on 27th or 28th of Sep 2009.

Congratulation to the summiteers and  All the Best for the rest of the team which are going to summit on 27 or 28 Sep 2009…

Himalaya Guides Sirdar Nima Gombu Sherpa fourteen times Mt Everest summiters called today and report the news of Cho-oyu Norwegian skiing expedition  autumn 2009.

They set up camp 1 on 14th Sep and planning to go up to camp 1 members on 16th Sep for acclimatization and they will try to go up to till camp 2 and came back to ABC.

Weather is good up there!

All the teams are doing well so far and Ms. Therese Sjursen is the strongest in the team so far and she has so much energy. She is the second runner for the Fanaråken Mountain marathon.

 

Mr. Even Krogstad Valseth had to come back early because he had the flu.

All members are in Kathamandu now and doing rest of the shopping before they are in to the mountain. They are leaving in to the mountain on 3rd Sep 2009 from Kathmandu.
