Our journey starts from Besi Shahar, Trekking us through the Marshyangdi valley, which divides the vast Annapurna and Manaslu Himal. As we trek upstream, Lamjung (6931m.) Annapurna II, III, IV and Gangapurna (7485m.) hover above us to the North and in the East, Mt. Manaslu (8163m.) Peak 29 and Buddha Himal (6,672m.) display their sheer might and beauty. From here we enter the Manang valley, and then come the daylong ascent and descent of the Thorung-La an overwhelming experience that for many people is the highlight of the trip. Muktinath presents a further opportunity to observe and enjoy Nepalese life. The path to this holy city has been the route of countless devotees, who for thousands of year have come to worship where the eternal flame burns out of a flowing spring.
