Mera & Amphu Lapcha Pass Climbing
The highest trekking peak in Nepal and views of four of the world’s five highest mountains with Amphu Lapcha high pass

Mera & Amphu Lapcha Pass ClimbingThis superb trek takes us away from the more frequented trails, which lead to Everest Base Camp and over a little used pass to the east, through which we enter the sparsely inhabited Linkhu Valley. From here we walk northwards through a beautiful high alpine environment, where Mera Peak, at (6654m.) the highest trekking peak in Nepal, towers over the valley. Traversing around to the north, however, we find a softer side to the mountain, and from here it is a non-technical climb which anyone with ice-axe and crampon experience can attempt. If you’ve acclimatized well, and have strong lungs and plenty of willpower, you can reach the summit of this beautiful Himalayan peak and obtain views that encompass four of the five highest mountains on earth standing proud over hundreds of lesser ones, many still unnamed and unclimbed. The main interesting and adventure treks take us through the Amphu Lapcha high passes to Chhukung from where our trek back to Lukla.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff & transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Free and prepared for climbing.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2866m.) then trek to Chutanga 2835m. Tented Camp 3-4 hrs.
Day 04: Chutanga to Chhetrawa (4155m.) Camp.
Day 05: Chutanga to Kothe (3555m.) (Zhatra-La).
Day 06: Kothe (Zhatra-la) – Thagnag 4175m.
Day 07: Thagnag – Khare (Mera peak base camp 4690m.
Day 08: Khare rest for acclimatization and preparation.
Day 09: Khare – Mera-La (5415m.) and fixed High Camp.
Day 10: Climbing Period
Day 11: Mera Peak summit (6,421m.) and back to BC then continue to Kangme Dingma.
Day 12: Kangme Dingma – Seto Pokhari (Amphu Lapcha Base Camp).
Day 13: Seto Pokhari – Amphu Lapcha Pass (5,780m.) – Chhukung (4,730m.)
Day 14: Chhukung – Pangboche (3,985m.)
Day 15: Pangboche – Namche Bazaar (3440m.)
Day 16: Namche Bazaar Rest.
Day 17: Namche Bazaar – Phakding (2652m.)
Day 18: Phakding – Lukla and transfer to Hotel.
Day 19: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight then transfers to Hotel.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Day 07: Tashi Dingma rest for acclimatization.
Day 08: Tashingma – Khare (5035m.)
Day 09: Khare rest for preparation.
Day 10:  Khare – Mera Peak High Camp (5415m.)
Day 11: Mera Peak (6461m.) summit then overnight at Chamlang Base Camp.
Day 12: Chamlang Base Camp to Panch Pokhari.
Day 13: Panch Pokhari – Amphu Lapcha High Camp.
Day 14: Amphu Lapcha passes (5780m.) – Chhukung (4730m.)
Day 15: Chhukung rest day.
Day 16: Chhukung – Thyangboche (3867m.)
Day 17: Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar (3440m.)
Day 18: Namche Bazaar – Lukla and transfer to teahouse Lodge (Hotel).
Day 19: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight & transfers to Hotel.
Day 20: Kathmandu free.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to Airport for your onward journey.
