About Us

Top Himalaya Guides is different because it’s owned and run by Nepalese IFMGA certified international mountain guides. The mountains are our home and we take great enjoyment in experiencing them with climbers and trekkers from all over the world.

Why Top Himalaya Guides?

We definitely have the “home ground advantage”. We gained our experience and qualifications on the highest peaks in the world, developing techniques specific to high altitude climbing. To ensure we are well-rounded climbers, we have further sought international climbing experience and qualifications – climbing and guiding on technical alpine-scale mountains (including during the winter seasons) and honing our ice climbing skills.

Company director is IFMGA/NNMGA Certified Mountain Guide (Instructor).
Long line Helicopter Rescue Specialist Tshering Pande Bhote has already been an accomplished Top Himalaya Guides, having guided clients Seven times to the top of Mt. Everest, before making several trips to New Zealand and France to become one of the first Nepalese to gain the international IFMGA certified mountain guide qualification. In the process he excelled in all areas of technical climbing, putting up a new route on the south face of Mt Cook, making the first ascent (in winter) of the east face headwall of Haidinger, and soloing the classic steep south face of Douglas Peak (also in winter).
We have qualifications from the NMA, NMIA, NNMGA, KEEP, NTB, HRA, TAAN, ECO-HIMAL, NZMGA, PZS, BMC, NATHM, RONAST, CNR, ENSA and IFMGA.
