Khopra Trek via Ghorepani
This spectacular adventure treks through the Annapurna foothills to the wild and remote Khopra Ridge – one of the best vantage points in the Himalaya. We stay in tea houses while on the main trail but after we leave the main trail at Tadapani we stay in the community lodges.
Khopra Ridge (3700m) is spectacular adventure treks. We head through remote alpine terrain to Bayeli, before ascending to Khopra Ridge. Here we view mighty peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Vara Shikhar and Tukuche. On return rejoin trail at Ghorepani and follow the Burungdi khola to Nayapool.
The itinerary
This 13 days trip starts with flight to Pokhara and trek to Ghandruk. We leave popular main trail and head through remote alpine terrain to Bayeli, before ascending to Khopra Ridge. Here we view mighty peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Vara Shikhar and Tukuche. Our return route descends through open alpine pastures, oak forest and rhododendrons to Swanta , Fulbari and then to Poon Hill for sunrise. We rejoin main trail at Ghorepani and follow Burungdi khola to Nayapool where we end the trek.
