Mera Peak (6476m) is the highest of Nepalโ€™s โ€˜trekking peaksโ€™, suitable for anyone who has little or no experience using ice axe and crampons. It is a good introduction to Himalaya Expeditions with finest views of Mt Everest and Lhoste.

Mera Peak is the highest of Nepalโ€™s โ€˜trekking peaksโ€™ with finest views of Mt Everest and Lhoste. Trekking through the remote Hinku Valley is a wonderful wilderness experience, with beautiful forest, banks of strawberries, huge mangolias and an enormous variety of rhododendron.

  • Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrival and expedition preparations.

    Days 01

  • Fly to Lukla

    Fly to Lukla and start trekking.

    Days 04

  • Trek to Mera Peak

    Trek through Piuyan, Pangom, Niumso, Chetra Tenga forest, Khote, Tagnag (acclimatize on Kusum Kanguru Ri), Khare, Dig Kharka, and camp on Mera La.

    Days 5-15

  • Climb Mera Peak

    Climb Mera Peak using a high camp.

    Days 16-18

  • Return to Lukla

    Retrace steps back to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu.

    Days 19-22

  • Departure

    Fly back to Kathmandu and conclude the expedition.

Highly recommended!Top Himalaya Guides is run by Tshering Pande Bhote and Chhidar Lama, both highly respected individuals. Tshering was my guide on Everest in 2004 and Chhidar is on the Board of WHY, an educational charity for Bhote people that I started in 2012. They both contribute considerably to their community and run an honest and professional business.Both have been working in Norway during the summer season for many years now and are well aquinted to Scandinavian life and habits.

Tshering is as legit as they come! We had the pleasure of spending 3 days climbing with him near Kathmandu and had a phenomenal time! Heโ€™s an incredibly experienced mountain guide who was always happy to share his knowledge with us but at the same time very humble. Also just a funny dude lol. Would definitely go back for more climbing/mountaineering with him.

My partner and I had a great trek and climbing experience with Top Himalaya Guides.Participated on Himalaya Five Peaks Technical Climbing Course with Ama Dablam, which offered a great trek through the Khumbu valley and other nearby valleys, in addition to climbing several peaks. The highlight of the tour was to climb Ama Dablam.The service was exceptional, way above what we expected.
